News and Information10/30/09 Our contract has been voted on. The contract passed. We would like to thank everyone for showing up for the vote. 10/14/09 The company has informed us that it will be necessary to have a layoff for the month of November. 40 people will be laid off. Mark Hyde has stated that everyone will be back at the end of November, and benefits will not be affected. Voluntary layoffs will be permitted. Please check back on Thursday, as an official release from Mark will be sent out, and posted at the plant. 09/01/09 Rick Vermillion, our new staff rep, came to the plant for a tour yesterday, and to meet some of our workforce. He was also introduced to our company management. Chris Martinez was also on hand to hand over the reigns. As we near negotiations, Rick wanted to familiarize himself with the plant and job calssifications. 01/01/09 Going forward for 2009 - If you are eligible to split a week of vacation onto separate days, you will be allowed to take 5 days. As always, your pay will be divided into equal parts - 1/5th of your vacation pay will be paid for each day taken. This is regardless of what rotation you are on. (12 hour or 8 hour) 11/07/08 Dave B. has posted notice that both Crew 1 and Crew 2 in Maintenance will be scheduled to work both weekends of 11/22/08 and 11/2908
11/04/08 UPDATE: More Flu Shot time added Flu Shots will be given on 11/12/08 from 6:30am until 8am, and 2pm until 4pm in the HR Conference Room
10/28/08 Flu Shots will be given on 11/12/08 at 7:00am in the HR conference room.
10/16/08 We need to run as good as possible in the days leading up to the Maintenance shutdown. Please do everything possible that you have control over to make this happen. We need product do to the storms that came through recently. |
